How short minded are the people? Must be very, because the NY Times was running a story saying that Afghanistan has hit the jackpot, and they have tons of minerals underground that could be valued at 1 trillion dollars. Seems exciting but lets dig a bit deeper to this “revelation” that was brought to us by the the trusted “liberal” NY Times.

In 1984, a report was published by the Afghan Geological Survey Department of Soviet uranium mining revealed that uranium mining begun in 1983 in Khawaja Rashwash. All of the production was being sent to the Soviet Union. Not only that, but the Soviets learned that natural non-oil resources were in an abundance. The Afghan government was preparing to develop these resources with the Soviets in the mid-1980s. How is this possible? Didn’t this administration make a revelation to the world? How could the NY Times be wrong about this?

This is just a publicity stunt by the government to justify the war. The very same war that was promised to be over six months into his administration (He is 24 months late, but whose counting?). We were told this tall tale to make us happy for the corrupt government that is over there, and to also forget that the brother of the president is the biggest opium dealer around, who by the way was given to green light to do as he pleases by the CIA (who in turn is the biggest drug dealers in the planet. Its why they get to do as they please without ever answering to congress. They don’t get funds from us, they get it with the same drugs we, the USA, have vowed to eliminate).

The NY Times discuss how investors are excited of the potential of this discovery but there questions surrounding this? First being, Afghanistan has no mining infrastructure. Its going to take years for scientists and engineers to come into the country and make up plans as to how to get to these minerals. Second being, the transportation of these minerals to the sea ports and beyond. The terrain is hellish to say the least. The amount of time its going to take to build the tracks is years upon years.  Third, the government corruption is going to make the excavation a nightmare. Fourth, who is going to provide the security? Karzai has said that the NATO forces cannot defeat the Taliban, and the Afghan government is not going to defeat the Taliban, so who will?

Last, and the most important question, who is going to pay for this? Well the answer to that last question is easy. Ill give you a hint, its the country whose government doesn’t mind its own business.

Questionable Death

Nancy Schaefer is dead. Nothing new, but its the way in which she died that has me asking a question. It is claimed her death was because of a suicide pact made between her husband and her. Now I am not going to speculate anything, but there form of death is very troubling. See when people kill themselves, they don’t want to feel any pain. If anyone thinks that I am wrong please let me know, but why is it that her husband shot her in the back? That is not a fast way to kill someone no matter the age limit, and it probably hurt like hell too. Even more questionable is the form to which the husband shot himself. I have never heard of anyone wanting to kill themselves by pointing a gun to their chest. Period, its not the way the someone would want to kill themselves because there’s a chance that he/she would survive the wound that was self inflicted. I believe and this is only theory because to me the most extreme theory is way better than the story that is given to us, is that she and her husband were killed. Probably by the government because they didn’t want her to continue talking about Child Protective Service and how the agency is tied to child prostitution. Now the last part is just my own theory, but I want you to look at the story and think long and hard about what was said, because it just doesn’t make any sense to me.

Societies Need Violence

Texas Times says:
March 20, 2010 at 8:34 pm

Mr. Adams is a writer with a powerful one-two punch – he just hits the ground running. With an amazing grasp of his subject matter whether unnatural violence, murder, medicine, or human nature, he has masterfully crafted a terrifying & compelling look into society today as we know it and how we are standing on the precipice of a high velocity spin into the escalating game of government control playing double Jeopardy with our lives. With hints of morality and freedom Mr. Adams leaves us with a prescription for hope and redemption we must not fail to heed. This is a must read!

A Letter To America

Dear Citizens of this great nation,
Some of you have read my blogs (hopefully) and know me as Miguel. My real name is Miguel Espinal. A first generation Latino whose family came here in the late 60′s early 70′s. I have been taught from a youngster that this is the best country in the world. The reason for that is because this country is because the chances that are given to you as compared to other countries in the world.
If you haven’t noticed, the last few years have been a disaster for this country. We were excited because the turn of the century was marking a point where the country was going to surpass itself as the place to be on this planet. But I noticed that by the end of the decade, for the first time ever, less people have applied to live here than ever before. We went from being citizens to being called consumers, and at some we just stopped caring. We cheered on the politicians when they got rid of the banking rules that helped this country become stable. We loved the fact that the government was going to give out money and give tax breaks to the rich because as they saw it, the trickle down effect meant that everyone was at some point going to get some of that money. We loved that the stock market shoot over 10k points, and that everyone was making money (Well sort of). We were happy getting these credit cards that allowed us to spend as much money as we want. Not only that, we were even more happy about the easy money that was being given to us because it meant that we could buy houses, cars, boats, airplanes, and just do whatever we felt was right because its America. Shit people in Dominican Republic actually told me that we are so rich in this country, that a $10 bill would be on the floor for days because we have to much money to want to bend over and pick it up. Yes times were good for many.
The sad thing about good parties is that they end. It felt like the lights were turned on and learned that we were paying for all the so called free drinks that were given to us in the party (I been to something like that, and a huge fight started). My brothers and sisters, we need to step up and become citizens of the free world. We are being beaten by a divide and conquer tactic that is being manipulated the media and the career politicians. Why is it that we are still stuck blaming the left and the right while both parties are equally responsible for the mess that we are in. We then turn to a movement that has no leader, but behold, the media again takes hold of it and then tries to take it to a side just so that we could again be divided.
We all united to pick a president who promised change and a reform on Washington. We felt as if one of us was infiltrated the powers that be, and then we felt betrayed from the very beginning. He spoke harshly of Bush and the signing statements issued by him, and from day one he comes in and does the very actions he was chastising. We bailout banks (without our authority) on the consensus that the money be lent out to the people. But no we were once again lied to and the banks just held the money bought other banks, and then gave it back to the government after they made a shit load on the interest. And then the media goes ahead and tells us, “The banks are back in business. The times are getting better”. Meanwhile they are doing the same dirt as they had before and they do it knowing that the government is going to bail em out. So what if they made record bonuses, what can the government do to them? That is the mentality of these assholes.
But the problem is deeper than the corporations (or the people as they are famously called), no I’m writing because we have to all unite and VOTE OUT THE BUMS. The reason why everything is happening, we are letting the politicians do as they please. Why is it that no one is questioning how is it that politicians are worth so much money? Why is it that they are allowed to deal with insider trading while we cant? Why is it that they fly private planes all over the country but tell us that we have to reduce our carbon emissions? We have career politicians who have seats in a cobra clutch and would kill their mother before they let go of that seat. Why is it that no one complains that the highest court in the land is allowing corporations to lobby as much money as they please? Why is it that we are going broke no matter how much the government says that they are saving money?
I ask these questions because it seems that no one wants to ask the questions. Either that or we want to see what we want to see. I say we all use our votes for something useful. Instead of voting for a democrat or republican, vote for an independent. So what if it seems like its a vote wasted. The two ruling parties are really one corporation with two colored wings. Why listen to Rachel Maddow or Bill O’Reilly when they are paid by a corporation who wants you to follow the stat quo. You think Glenn Beck is one to trust? The only difference between tv commentators and the characters on Family Guy is that one is a cartoon, but both are scripted.
I want us to take the civilized way and vote out the bums. We are an angry nation, and our leaders are not listening to our voices. They made us believe that its good for us to own a piece of AIG, but how come most of us don’t know that we are about to give money to a foreign nation, because of the entanglement made by the CEO’s. Is it fair to you that we have millions of people here who need help, but there could be a possibility that we give them a bailout. How does that make you feel America? Lets ask how does that make our so called leaders? They probably dont feel nothing. And as Im at it, why is it that lobbyist get more of a say than us citizens. Because we stopped voting and let money do the talking for, and if you haven’t noticed, most of us are broke so only our votes can be heard.
Citizens of this great nation, and I’m only talking to ones who breathe, not the ones considered a person because of a name (aka the corporations), we are going to stand up and start making a new movement. One where we are known for voting for something better, and not because we have funny signs. Its time we stand up for things that matter, and that’s the well being for us people. Lets vote for another Glass-Steagall for its the reason that kept the country in good shape for all these years. Funny how it was at the beginning of the decade that it was taken away and then BOOM, everything in the country goes wrong financially. If the government knew what was best for us, then they would be listening to our opinions and not call us racists/ignorant/unpatriotic for not agreeing with the government.
Please Mr. Obama hear our voices so that we can better everything, not only for us, but for the future generations. You talked about being a constitutional professor, and how we the people are the ones who are in charge of everything. Please listen to us, and grow some balls. You need to take a stand, and when you do take that stand, stand by us the citizens, or as Donald Trump says “Your Fired”.
Sincerly,
Miguel Espinal

Loss of Freedom

There is a looming danger going on people. More and more I hear the calls and that’s for Internet security. Now if it was for just protecting people’s security from hackers I would be ok with that, but that’s not what is scaring me. We are upon a moment of time where people are screaming for security, but as a form of ID so that if anything were to transpire, it would be known who did it.
If the draconian ways have it, then not only will it be for security, they will also extend it towards who uses the freedom of speech that makes the internet one of the greatest inventions ever. If a government deems it illegal for me to get a internet license just because I dont agree with their ways then am I wrong or are they? If its up to the government to deem who is worthy for a internet license then who is it that is going to tell the people that the government is doing wrong?
In China, I would have to be a registered blogger before I could say anything, and who is going to talk bad about the government if you are registered? That’s why we need to rise up and not let the government do this, because then there would be no checks and balances. The internet is great because we are able to check the government in a way that they cant control. Sure they would give reporters the tools to blog, but when was the last time a reporter did something? Matt Taibi said what he had to, and it seemed like all the media circus wanted him to be burned on a cross because he wasn’t afraid to speak his mind. Because he was doing something that they, the reporters, forgot to do before the money came into the mix. Newspapers and magazines will want to register bloggers, because they are losing money day by day with the constant rise of internet use with smart phones and with the smart books. They stand more to win with you and me under a bunch of restrictions.
The fact of the matter is, freedom is the most dangerous tool against a government. And the job of the government is not to protect the people, but to sustain itself. Yeah we have 2 sides to our government, but in the end, its only one more choice over communism.

Obama Year 1

obama-germany

We are approaching the first year in the historic presidency of Barack Obama and what have we learned? Well, he’s a great teleprompter reader. Really, that’s it. I cant really think of anything relevant that he has done in his first year. So you say that he is trying to change health care. This is America, we don’t do anything right!! You could give the government a blueprint how to make health care efficient and our government would still find a way to fuck over the little man while making themselves look better.
Think back at the presidential debate, and John McCain said that this was going to be a long strenuous war. He said that a pullout of the soldiers was going to be a difficult task to imagine in his first term. And then the grand maestro came in and swooned us. He was going to make it the first issue in office to get the soldiers out of war. He talked about how it was wrong that there were soldiers on their 4th and 5th tour straight. How it was the regular people who were suffering, not the high paid wall street people. No, Obama was the main street titan and wall street was going to pay for everything that they have done. He promised accountablility for the horrible crimes being committed in the over seas prisons. He was going to be the right for all 8 years of George Bush’s wrong. He was the outsider who broke into the ranks. Or so we thought…
What Obama did was the biggest about face in modern history, or maybe in all of history. He sided with wall street in every major way. He still hasn’t done anything to take care of the dwindling middle class. He has though taken care of the upper 10% of the population. The ones who Forbes magazine want us to feel bad for people like Oprah who lost a quarter of her net wealth. People if a billionaire who loses a quarter of their wealth, they still TONS of money to play with. If Joe Smith loses a quarter of his wealth, he has a major problem on his hand. Obama has lined himself up not with people who care about main street, but with former Goldman Sachs employees who are whiz’s are destroying the architect that made this country the strongest super power ever.
Obama in his first year as president, won a pulitzer prize for keeping a war going on that he promised to end. Not only did he promise to end the war, he criticized John McCain for wanting to keep the war going. See what people dont understand is that Obama is a slick lawyer, and thats one of the key elements that is taught to you in politics. Say what the people want to hear. Here’s a well speaking, young president, that came out of no where and took up the political game in his hands. We should have seen that he was going to take an about face in the war issue. He pulled out 15,000 soldiers but let the war mongering companies put in that same amount of mercs into the field. He said during his speeches that it was going to take a lot more than one term to end the war. More than one term is the key words. He is telling us that he is going to be re-elected as president and there is no pullout of the soldiers going to happen. Of course that he is going to say that he is gong to pull them out 2011, its exactly what you want to hear. Buy as always, some issue that no one expected to happen, like a resurgence of the Taliban (Who works for the CIA, many many times over), or he would escalate the war with Iran to the point that he is going to surround the country with all of our soldiers which would make alot of sense. We went to Iraq to liberate the people (LOL I loved that lie. It was classic), then we hopped over Iran and fought in Afganistan and now some how the fight is moving over to Pakistan. Turkey is an ally of ours, so we have the country on lock down. The only other country close to a border is Saudi Arabia which is a boat ride away but they are provoked the war with Iran more than any other country.
Barry Soltero, sorry I meant Barack Obama how did i mix the names up?Guess the lies just got me mixed up, is not the man who we Hoped he was. And for the record, no one is supposed to sell hope, but Obama did just that, and he also promised change, which is going to happen with a smile on your face. Only because the chosen one told us it was going to…

The Economic Calamity

obamber

The global depression is about to knock on our doors. We are about to head into survival of the fittest like depression and there is no person on planet earth that is immune to this… except the big wigs. See if you haven’t noticed it yet, governments all around the world, especially in the US are not doing anything to protect the people, they are only interested in protecting themselves and their buddies in the big companies.
Fed chairman Ben Bernanke is credited by many for helping stop the economic bleeding, but look closely and it seems that the signs were written on the wall for the country to go into debt. Ben Bernanke once famously said “The US government has a technology, called a printing press — or today, it’s electronic equivalent — that allows it to produce as many dollars as it wishes at essentially no cost”. Now those words have been put into action, this is called ‘quantitative easing’ and the only easing that it does is the manipulation of the stock market. See if you listen to the TV economist, they tell you that things are getting better, the market is over 10,000 and it seems that sky is the limit. Now lets divulge deeper into this. The market tanked deeply due to one of the most famous TV economists Jim Cramer telling people to take their money out of the market as fast as they can. He set of a massive scare tactic even though the night before he was the one who was telling people to “buy buy buy” as he famously says.
Next we have the US government who keeps telling the public that things are looking better, but the situation keeps on getting worst. Ever hear that saying, if you tell a lie enough times that it will soon become a truth. Well that is our unemployment numbers. They say its at 10.2%, well let me correct myself its at 10% as of yesterday, but look deeper into these numbers and notice that these numbers are only the people who collect unemployment checks. They don’t count people who stopped collecting, part time workers, people who quit looking for a job and they don’t tally the death/birth ratio. The government also doesn’t have an algorithm to calculate how many small business jobs were created. They just make up the numbers, sort of like the bailout.
The education system. Yes hard to believe but even the education system has played a bigger role in the destruction of our economy than you believe. See there was a time when education was affordable. People would graduate from high school, and get a quality education with the aspiration of attaining a career. But soon, economics started playing a role in getting an education. So the price of tuitions starts to increase while the level of education is getting worst for the cheaper schools. Now as we all know, public education is nothing in America. Its actually worst than 3rd world country education. And then when people were able to catch up to the tuition prices, the economists went ahead and started to make new books every year and they forced people to pay $300 per book. So the level of playing field wasn’t as fair as it should be. I understand that education should come at a price but there comes a point when people shouldn’t be investing 30k or 40k just for a year of tuition. Then America makes it a point for kids to go to school and take out dozens of loans just for they could be able to get an education without caring if the kid could afford to even get something to eat. And those prices dont even include the dorm fees which up the ante up to 10k per year.
Television. Now televisions role in this is the influence that it has on us wanting to love money. Money has become its own religion. Its more powerful than love, and more worshiped than which ever God you believe in. How many relationships are broken because of money disputes? TV shows make it a good thing for people to win money, the lottery has found a way to sucker people into buying tickets with all the commercials that we see on tv. “Only a dollar and a dream” is the phrase used here in NY and it might be one of the most used phrases i have ever heard. I hear that more than Amen which is a sad thing. Its all about the benjamins P.Diddy said and how sad that instead of asking for health and family, people would rather ask for money just to make things good in they life.
The final culprit in the economy tanking is credit. Well more like the people and the countries who get it. Do people understand what the word means? I mean it drives me crazy that people just didn’t read the fine print to the credit card statements. Since birth people are told to carefully read what they sign, and that always included the fine print. When I was 16, I will never know how but I obtained my first credit card with $4,000 limit. You give that to a kid, and believe me he’s not going to know what to do with all that money. I went crazy, you better believe that I was the best dressed person in school for all of my high school life. All was good until I was 19, then the reaper came calling. I didn’t make too many payments largely because I never really thought of making payments, I just thought that the money was always going to be there. But it taught me a valuable lesson, NOTHING IS WHAT IT SEEMS. I wasnt surprised that Dubai went into default with their debt. They bought MGM less than 5 years ago, and immediately were trying to dump it off early this year. They were trying to sell it for drastically less than the amount than they paid for it. I wish that people would just read between the lines. I understand that some people need credit, but the chickens will come to roast. Its easier for people to just call the creditor and tell them that they are broke instead of paying one credit card with another. Think about it, you wouldn’t borrow money from a shylock just to pay another shylock. It doesn’t make sense and thats exactly what its like when you take money from a credit card. Except the credit cards took the shy locks out of business.
